Computerized One-Touch Needle Plate
Change the needle plate with a single touch, no screws or tools necessary! Release the needle plate with a simple push of the on-screen button, and place a new plate in place. The Janome M7 uses a patented magnetic system to automatically retract the new plate into place. Use with any of the three standard needle plates included, zigzag, straight stitch, and the professional grade HP plate.
SFS-i, Intelligent Feed System
Designed to keep the feed dogs down and out of the way, the new SFS-i, intelligent feed system lets you easily position your fabric where you want it to be. As soon as you’re ready, simply start sewing and the feed dogs come up and perfectly grab the fabric.

The large, color HD 7″ touchscreen of the Janome M7 feels like working on your favorite tablet! Showing all of the information you need to sew and select stitches with ease, the advanced touchsreen memorizes your favorite stitches for quick access. Find guidance for perfecting a variety of sewing tasks, including those that use optional accessories within the expanded Sewing Applications feature. Optical Bobbin Sensor
The Janome M7 has a powerful feature to help you avoid the annoyance of sewing a long seam, just to find out your bobbin thread run out after the first few inches. Janome’s advanced optical bobbin monitoring system constantly watches your bobbin thread supply while sewing. That way your machine will give you a warning when the bobbin thread gets low.
On Screen Clock
Featuring a discreet on-screen clock to help keep track of time when caught up in the joy of sewing! No more forgetting to let the dog out, the clock is visible on all screens and keeps time even when the machine is turned off.
Quilt Block Advisor
Need help planning how to cut log cabin strips for a 10-inch block? Janome’s Quilt Block Advisor can do the work for you. Simply input the number of rows and the size of work for a number of traditional quilt patterns like Nine Patch, Log Cabin, Baby Block and more. Break down each section, with the cutting size of pieces including seam allowance, all with the help of the Quilt Block Advisor!
