Arrow Bertha

If you are looking for a cabinet that offers plenty of space and will support heavy-duty sewing and embroidery machines, Bertha is for you.

When open, she offers 16 square feet of sewing space! Just open the two side leaves and quilt leaf on the back to work on larger sewing projects to prevent dragging and fabric bunching. What’s even better is the quilt leaf slides horizontally along a metal rod behind the cabinet for custom positioning. But don’t worry, Bertha can become a tidy cabinet tucked away when you’re not using it.

Sewing Machines that do not fit Bertha

We are aware of the following sewing machines that are too large to fit into the Bertha Cabinet:

  • BabyLock – Destiny and Solaris
  • Brother – Dream VX8500D and Luminaire
  • Janome – Horizon Memory Craft 15000
    • The machine fits the platform of the cabinet in flatbed position (a custom insert is available) but you will have to move the sewing machine from right to left to lower into the storage position because of the extension of the front support leg of the machine. Also, the knee lifter lever cannot be used with a sewing cabinet due to the length of the lever and how the machine sits on the platform in flatbed position.
  • Elna – eXpressive 920
    • The machine fits the platform of the cabinet in flatbed position (a custom insert is available) but you will have to move the sewing machine from right to left to lower into the storage position because of the extension of the front support leg of the machine. Also, the knee lifter lever cannot be used with a sewing cabinet due to the length of the lever and how the machine sits on the platform in flatbed position.
  • Viking – Designer Epic

The following machines fit the Bertha Cabinet but with issues:

  • Baby Lock – Ellissimo (BLSO), Ellissimo Gold (BLSOG), Ellissimo Gold
    • The handles of the BabyLock Ellissimo are wider than the opening of the Bertha cabinet and in order to put the machine into the storage position, the handle must be upright when lowering the platform. Then the machine must be tipped forward to allow you to fold the handle down. This must be done in reverse to bring the machine up.
  • Bernina – Series 7- 780, 750 QE, 710
    • The machines will fit the opening and platform of the cabinet but the height of the machine does not allow the top right leaf to close completely when the machine is in storage position.
  • Brother – Quattro 3 Trilogy LE Innovis 6750D, Quattro 2 7600D, Quattro, NV6000D & NV6500D
    • The handles of the Brother Quattro are wider than the opening of the Bertha cabinet and in order to put the machine into the storage position, the handle must be upright when lowering the platform. Then the machine must be tipped forward to allow you to fold the handle down. This must be done in reserve to bring the machine up.
