What’s the Buzz: November Events at Rocky Mountain Sewing and Vacuum

by Cathy Ellsaesser, posted on

Brrr! I don’t think I’m ready for winter, but I guess winter has its own ideas. Well, at least with this cold weather, I’m ready to stay home and do some sewing. Even more fun than that, though, will be to drop down into town, and help out with the Embellish Makers lecture/demo coming up as one of our first November events.

Special November Events

If you weren’t able to attend our Embellish event back in September, be sure to register for this one!

In-Store Classes

You just have to look at our November calendar to see how many wonderful classes are available at your favorite Rocky Mountain Sewing and Vacuum store.

Here are just a few:

Kimberbell Friends Warm the Heart Mug Hug – Colorado Springs 11/08/19, 1p – 4p

photo of Kimberbell mug hugs

Remember braiding friendship bracelets from embroidery floss in 6th grade? Well, how about a braided mug hug? Clever piecing in the hoop makes the fabric on this mug hug appear braided. And, just like those bracelets, you’ll want to make one for every friend.

Perfect for pairing with a hot cocoa or coffee cup, a kind sentiment finishes the mug hug.

With three sizes to choose from, wrap your favorite mug of hot cocoa or coffee. These mug hugs are beautiful as a candle wrap, too, and the patterns include a kind sentiment to embroider on the wrap!

For $30 you’ll get a fabric kit to make the mug hug and some great instruction. Sign up today for this great class and whip up a few Christmas gifts in no time!

For this class, the pattern and kit are required. Each pattern contains a coded freezer paper template, a paper key and a 12 page booklet. You can get these at the Colorado Springs RMSV store.

New students should come at 10:30 to get started on the block. The cost for first time students is $50. Register here.

If you’ve already joined up for a previous class and understand the technique, come as a returning student from 12:30 to 2:30. Be ready to start sewing! The cost for returning students is $25.
