Do you love those fiberwork wall hangings but were afraid to try one.
Laura Heine is known for her collage fiberwork.
The defination of fiber art is the creative art of making wall hangings, sculpture, etc. out of thread, yarn, fabric, etc.
Best of all there is no wrong way to do it.
There are very little rules past the foundation, so join us and learn this creative art.
This class is 3 sessions.
Pattern available at the Littleton store, 6″x11″ or so of 10-12 different background fabrics – I used light shades
Scraps or 6″x11″of 10 to 12 different red, pink, purple fabrics for the pincushion and Scraps or 6″x11″ of 4 different greens for the pincushion
Scraps of 14 or more of different floral motifs for the collage in a variety of colors, blues, greens, pinks, yellows, whites, etc. I used more scraps
Scraps of dark gray/black for the needle and pins
6″ x WOF for the binding, 1 yard for backing, 1 yard batting,
1 yard of Pattern Ease Foundation or Pellon 830 Easy Pattern
Applique Pressing Sheet and a Black Sharpie Pen
3 to 5 yards of Steam a Seam 2 at 24 ” width or use 1 yard of Steam a Seam 2 for background and this use Appli-Kay Wonder for the collage pieces( I recommend this for the collage pieces as it sticks better)
