There are two definitions for the word sage. One meaning wisdom and and good judgement, as in sage advice. The other, a savory culinary herb popular in meat and poultry dishes.
Take our advice and serve up a delicious dish for your family with these adorable owl oven mitts.
In three sizes, for holding saucepan handles to a cast iron skillet, your fingers fit just inside the wings.
We’ve stitched our owls with flannel and recommend a layer of insulated batting for use as a hot pad or oven mitt.
This class requires a hoop 5″ x 7″ or greater. A fabric kit will be included.
Machine with embroidery unit in good working order
5 x 7 hoop
Applique and fabric scissors
Cutaway stabilizer to fit hoop
Two pieces of 6-1/2″ x 8″ batting
One piece the same size of insulated lining
A scrap of fabric for the eyes and one for the beak
A 9″ x 21″ piece for the owl body and a 9″ x 11″ piece for the wings
If you wish to use a 6 x 10 hoop, the fabrics and ribbon you bring are the same, but the batting and insulated lining is 7″ x 8-1/2″
