This month we will get ready for Valentine’s Day with a “Candy Heart Pocket Tag”. Our darling gift tag has a pocket just big enough to hold a chocolate treat, love note, or gift card.
With techniques like applique and lining in the hoop, this sweet project really is as fun to make as it is to give.

Embroidery machine in good working order with power cord
USB for embroidery design
Scissors
Threads of your choice
Cutaway stabilizer
4″ x 4″ hoop
Material needed is scraps for one tag or a fat sixteenth for four tags
Each tag needs four fabrics: Cut three to 3.5″ x 5″ and the fourth will be the heart cut to 2.5″ x 3″
Also need 3/8″ button
1/8″ wide ribbon or baker’s twine cut to 12″
Optional bow requires a 12″ piece of 3/8″ ribbon
