Our June project is the Grateful Heart Composition Notebook. It is a great time to look at our lives and count our blessings. Now that it is a trend to keep a gratitude journal, there are actual scientifically proven health benefits for expressing gratitude. So, this project is a legitimate excuse for giving yourself a sew day and stitching out this project for everyone you love!
Pieced and embroidered completely in the hoop, the journal cover can be made for a mini or medium sized composition notebooks.
The mini size is accomplished in a 5 x 7 hoop, the medium in an 8 x 12 hoop. You will receive printed instructions at the class as well as have the embroidery design loaded to your USB.
Supply List
Embroidery machine in good working order with its power cord
USB for the embroidery designs
5 x 7 or 8 x 12 hoops
Scissors
Threads of your choice
Cutaway stabilizer to fit your desired hoop size
Other supplies:
-fat quarter for the lining, back, side pockets, and Piece 5.
-Pieces 1, 2, & 3 need a fabric scrap.
-Piece 4 requires a fat sixteenth. Also needed is a 12″ long piece of 3/8″ ribbon, paper tape, fray check, and a composition notebook.
Mini is 4.5″ x 3.25″, Medium is 7″ x 5″
