Looking for a unique way to use those beautiful Jelly Rolls you have been stashing away? Look no further!
The Jelly Roll Rug makes a beautiful, unique addition to your home that is sturdy AND easy to wash.
Great class for the confident beginning sewist. Please sew your jelly roll strips end to end on the diagonal prior to coming to class!
We will take a short break for lunch so please bring a sack lunch or plan to eat out nearby.
1 Jelly Roll (or 40 2-1/2″ strips)
2 rolls of Bosal Katahdin Batting on a Roll (available at RMSV the day of class)
Sewing machine capable of a zig zag stitch at least 5mm wide
Thread to coordinate with your fabric (polyester is recommended) at least 1200 yard spool
Topstitch or Denim needles for your machine at least 90/14 in size
Box or basket to contain your “rope” ball (approximately 12″ square is ideal)
Books or boxes that can be stacked to a height equal to the bed of your machine OR a large extension table made for your machine (This is VERY IMPORTANT. The teacher will have extra books/stackable items but not enough for everyone)
Other standard sewing notions (scissors, bobbins, etc.)
