Description
This set of cosmetic bags is made of seat belts AND can be made on a regular sewing machine. Seat belt webbing has a lovely sheen and is durable and stain resistant. The bags are fully lined and close with a zipper. The inward folding end panels allow them to open very wide letting you easily see and grab items inside. When not in use, one fits easily inside the other for storage. Class includes pattern & seat belts to make BOTH bags - but only one bag will be completed in class. Lining fabric, interfacing & zippers are not included.
Color choices for the bags - one, two or three colors.

What to bring: Sewing Machine (don't forget power cord), Heavy duty needle (jeans), zipper foot.
Materials needed: 2 - Zippers- size: #4.5 or #5 (#4.5 and #5 zippers have wider zipper tapes than #3 all-purpose zippers) - With handle: small: at least 20” large: at least 22, Without handle: small: at least 14” large: at least 16”,
Thread - Clear thread or colors that match or coordinate with seat belts and lining fabrics,
1/4” wide fusible web tape, Temporary pen or chalk wheel
Background Fabric - (44” wide): 3/8 yard or 1 fat quarter- base fabric that seat belts are stitched to - suggested: quilting cotton in a solid color that matches or coordinates with the seat belt webbing,
Medium-Weight Interfacing - (20” wide): 3/4 yard - suggested: Pellon® Shape Flex (SF101),
Lining Fabric - (44” wide): 1/2 yard for lining, handle and zipper tabs - suggested: quilting cotton.
