Large Tailors Clapper
The Tailors Clapper is a tool that every sewing and ironing enthusiast should have. It is designed to press seams without burning the fabric, and can be used with steam from your iron. Simply press the area with the clapper and hold for a few seconds to get a crisp seam. The handmade clapper is made from Oak and weighs approximately 1.2 lbs. It measures 11 ½” inches long, 3” wide tapered down to 2 1/2 inches and is 1 1/2” thick. The clapper features routed grooves on both sides for easy handling, and is unfinished to absorb steam better. Please note that due to the natural variations in the wood used, colors may vary from the above picture.
