Summer is here! Can you feel it? Well if it’s getting too hot for you outside,

I have some wonderful projects to share, along with some embellishment techniques, that I’m sure you’ll love.
Dizzy Lizzy
I saw this Abbey Lane quilt, Dizzy Lizzy, hanging in a quilt store back in 2015, and bought the pattern. I’m happy to say, that this cutie is no longer a UFO, but all finished up for July Sew Fun.
Funky over-sized flowers and with little birds perched all around make Dizzy Lizzy such a super fun scrappy, modern quilt – and how about the jumbo ric rac that accents the quilt? There’s a special feature on the back of the quilt I can’t wait for you to see!
Cool Cat Pajama Bag
I used left over fabrics from the Dizzy Lizzy to make a matching Cool Cat Pajama Bag. These Cool Cats have a zippered pocket in their backs to hold pajamas or other treasures. Poly pellets give the bottom a little weight to help them sit up. Make a Tom cat with a bow tie or a Tomasina with a hair bow.
Fabric Embellishing
Many of my selections this month feature special embellishments to add fun and interest to the projects. Inspiration for these embellishments came from the book, Fabric Embellishing, The Basics and Beyond.
This best-selling book features 50 techniques. It is full of clear instructions and complete step-by-step photography. Get some creative inspiration from four renowned fiber artists. A resource guide on products used, and where to find them, is provided as well.
