January Sew Fun
We are kicking off the new year with something we have never done before. For our January Sew Fun sessions, join us for a special spotlight on four different designers. Not only will we have many samples from the designers, we’ll also have some samples stitched out by our presenter as well.
Sisters Jenny Pedigo, Helen Robinson, and Sherilyn Mortensen are the creative geniuses behind Sew Kind of Wonderful. With their Quick Curve Ruler they have changed the modern quilting community with their innovative curved piecing technique. Imagine curves that don’t require clipping or pinning.
In addition, they have the most fabulous modern quilting patterns. We have several on hand to show you, including Happy Together, a quilt perfect for a child’s room.
Linsdey Rae is the designer behind Sew to Grow, an Australian pattern company. She designs clothes that fit and flatter average-sized women.
Sew to Grow provides patterns, tools, and resources to build your confidence in sewing a wardrobe that is “Fit To Flatter” and are easily customized. Her patterns have clear directions and are suitable for sewists of all levels.
Check out her website for tutorials, tips, and tricks to get the perfect fit, learn knew techniques, and use her fabulous tools.
For our embroider enthusiasts we are highlighting Pickle Pie designs at our January Sew Fun sessions.
Pickle Pie designs are in-the-hoop embroidery and appliqué designs that make your embroidery & sewing projects fabulous! Their in-the-hoop sewing and embroidery designs are both functional and beautiful. Use their designs for gifts, seasonal décor, and personal use. Their projects come with clear photos and instructions, and are quick to sew.
Projects like the JetSet Jewelry holder and Clever Cases are sure to help you get organized and keep everything neat, tidy and protected.
Jessica Barrera is the brains behind the bag sewing pattern company Sallie Tomato. If you are interested bag-making, this is the go-to designer. Her gorgeous bags are truly drool-worthy! Attention to detail, finishing techniques, and beautiful hardware elevate her bag patterns to a much more polished finish than many handmade bags.
Create a beautiful finished product with easy-to-follow instructions. Step-by-step graphics make the written directions easier to understand. As a bonus, many sewing techniques and tips help you achieve a quality, finished project. Learn and expand your sewing skills with each pattern.
