Happy New Year! We’re so happy to be starting a new year with such a great Sew Fun sessions lined up. We start the year off with a bang, as usual, and here’s a sneak peak at January Sew Fun.

Bargello Quilts

January Sew Fun project book, Bargello Quilts

Create the mesmerizing optical illusion of graceful movement, waves, and curves with straight seams and rectangular pieces. Although Bargello quilt making looks complex and difficult, any beginner quilter who can sew a straight seam can master the necessary skills. Use pre-cut jelly rolls, and quickly complete a a quilt top with confidence.  Author Karin Hellaby’s clear, how-to instructions shows how to work with both solid and printed fabrics. Learn how to vary your color palette from monochromatic to riotously colorful. Explore the impact of offset seams for gentle curves and matched seams for dramatic arcs and turns in the pattern. This technique is addictive, with lovely patterns that include pillows, a quilt bag, wall hangings, table toppers, and lap quilts.

Look at some of the variations found in this lovely book.
