We were so excited to see you in the stores this month!
For the month of February, we were so happy to see everyone’s smiling faces in the store for Sew Fun! Tracy had lots of fun projects to show us and it was great to see what projects you were working on! If you missed it, you can still watch it here. Here are some highlights from the presentation!
“The Complete Bag Making Masterclass” Book
This book that Tracy showed us, “The Complete Bag Making Master Class” was absolutely incredible! Both of the bags shown above are from this book, which includes a ton of patterns, tips, and tricks for you to reference. Of course, Tracy has a darling Disney-themed bag with her Mickey Mouse fabric, which is just too cute! She also made this awesome backpack that can easily turn into a shoulder bag from the book as well, including some details from the selvage.
“Tiny Town” by Pen and Paper Patterns
This quilt pattern is such a sweet one! This is a fun and easy strip-piecing quilt. Tracy had a lot of fun incorporating corresponding fabrics to each block to create the right kind of texture to each house, flower and tree, though it did make it harder. It makes a cute little village quilt and can be altered to go for any season!
Sew Fun Book Club!
For our Sew Fun Book Club this month, the book is “Running Stitches” by Carol Dean Jones. The hourglass quilt pattern that comes along with it is really cool, and not to mention the discussion about the books in our RMSV VIP group on Facebook has started! Be sure to join in the conversation.
