What better way to spend a chilly day in February than Sew Fun? Our Sew Fun Presenter has quite the collection of fun projects to show us at our February Sew Fun sessions. Here’s a sneak peek at just a couple.

50 Little Gifts

In this book from Susanne Woods is a wonderful collection of popular tutorials and inspired projects. From patchwork pouches to potholders, wallets to water bottle carriers and bibs to baskets, this will be one of the most-used sewing books in your crafty bookshelf. Packed inside is a collection of the 50 fat quarter, charm square, pre-cut or scrap-friendly projects you make the most, from the designers you already know and trust.

Not just a pattern book, 50 Little Gifts also includes 8 Little Tutorials so you will learn something new! From pom pom making to fabric painting, these ‘extras’ aren’t’ required for the projects, but they will help you personalize each and every present. So forget about scrolling through endless online sewing tutorials looking for those instructions on how to make a classic zippy pouch. With the power of this book and your fabric stash, you can whip up any of these small patchwork gifts with most taking under an hour to complete–fast and easy sewing to get that gift done.

Range Backpack

I think you’re going to love this backpack! This is such a useful and fun backpack to make. It’s so nice to be hands free while running errands. The fold-over top and closure keep things secure, while the front zippered pocket keeps essentials within easy reach. Adjustable straps make it wearable in any season. Here’s a few key features of the Range Backpack:

  • foldover top with closure
  • front exterior zippered pocket
  • adjustable straps
  • interior slip pocket
  • hang loop
