Costuming and Cosplay Workshop

Do you have grandchildren who love to dress up as their favorite superhero or princess? Do you dream of being Superman, Wonder Woman or Bat Girl? Do you enjoy cosplay (the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game) “just for fun?” Well, we all know that you can’t be a princess or superhero without the right costume.

Stretch spandex, pleather, brocades,  tulle, organza, and other fabrics are available to create superhero, science-fiction and fantasy costumes.  Does sewing with these specialty fabrics frighten you?   Well,  Rocky Mountain Sewing and Vacuum in Colorado Springs is teaming up with Denver Costumer/Cosplayers  to share with you  many basic sewing methods used in the costuming/cosplay community.  You will learn valuable tricks of the trade for picking the right fabrics, patterns and tools to create your best cosplay yet.

Perhaps you’re getting ready for the 2017 Denver Comic Con, or just want to make that perfect Halloween costume. Whatever your reason, we hope you’ll join us at the workshop. Attendees will have use of great sewing machines, sergers and Brother Scan N Cut machines to make your vision come to life.

There are 2 sessions – $40.00 each session – or purchase both sessions for $60.00. Contact Randie or Kim at 720-870-2711 to receive the discounted price. To register for a single session, please click on the link below:
