The Bernina Q20 Sit-Down
Love free-motion quilting but don’t have room for a long arm frame? Then the Q 20 sit-down model is your machine. The BERNINA Q 20 is designed, engineered, and assembled in Switzerland and comes standard as a sit-down model machine. Quilt larger quilts than on a domestic machine as the generous longarm depth and height provide ample space for managing larger quilts.

The BERNINA Q 20 comes standard as a sit-down model machine, but if you should make room for a frame, the Q 20 can be upgraded to a frame model machine at any time.

Achieve perfect stitches with the integrated BERNINA Longarm Stitch Regulation. Easily customize your quilting stitches via the machine’s touch screen. With three regulation modes, you can keep the stitch length constant at any speed. Dual sensors provide precise sensing of machine/fabric movement.
Unique user interface
Navigate through the various options of the Q20 via a color touch screen. The screen is totally customizable with up to five user profiles. Select and watch various tutorials or view help screens.Want to know how many stitches are in your quilt? Keep track with a reset-able stitch counter.
Effortless Quilting Without the Foot Control
Enjoy fatigue-free quilting, even on large projects with the KickStart function. The function of the foot control is replaced by an alternating start and stop (standby) function. This allows you to quilt continuously without having to hold down the foot control.
Easy Threading and Bobbin Winding
Thoughtfully positioned spool holders and forward threading path are easy to reach and simple to follow. The Q20 even has an automatic needle threader.
The on-board bobbin winder (M Class bobbin) makes it convenient to wind coordinating bobbin threads for your projects, independent of machine operation.
Unique Digital Tension Control
The BERNINA Q20 has an exclusive tension system with numeric tension settings making it very easy to use a wide range of thread types with success. Raising the presser foot releases the tension for threading ease.

The table is designed to elegantly handle the speed and weight of the Q 20 for optimal performance with style. This table starts out at 36″ x 45″ but can easily be expanded to 36″ x 77″. Sturdy and steady at 265 lbs, it provides generous storage space as well.

You are looking for a solution for limited space or a table for easily carrying around? Then the optional Foldable Table for the BERNINA Q 20 could become your favorite companion. You can still manage larger quilts with full comfort. This table handles the speed and weight of the Q20 with ease, but is perfect for limited space. It folds for easy storage and opens up to 36″ x 45″.
Gripper Rings
Optional gripper rings keep the desired area completely flat while quilting with the Q20. These rings are also useful for stitching in the ditch. The rings help keep the area you are working on flat and taught so you can relax your hands and focus on your quilting rather than how firm you have to hold your fabric.
