This class will explore making a small lidded bowl from frabic-wrapped cord. Wrap, wind, and sew fabric strips into fantastic containers. Simply wrap fabric strips around cotton clothesline, coil into the desired shape, and secure with machine stitching. Embellish with decorative handles, beads, other materials or found objects. |

Scott Farmer: Incredible Thread-A-Bowls
Create bowls or dimensional art works by using just thread, fabric snippets, and water-soluble stabilizer. Cut and shape threads into a creative design, stitch between layers of water-soluble stabilizer. Rinse out the stabilizer and mold threaded web over a form made from a variety of common household items. Any material can be used including yarn, embroidery floss, perle cotton, or ribbon. Same process can be used to make thread-web scarves, home decor or unique gift items. |
