Sewing for the Seasons:

This month I have a variety of new books and patterns to provide you with quick and easy ideas for holiday decorations and gifts. Debbie Mumm’s Home Comings has ideas for year round celebrations. There are project ideas for quilt, wall hangings, pillows, banners, table runners, decorations and more. With full material lists, full color instructions, and loads of tips, this is one book that you will definitely want. Next up is Art to Heart Sew Necessary by Nancy Halvorsen. Quick, easy and oh-so-necessary gifts for the fall are the theme of this book. There are pincushions, a wallet, thread catchers, and scissor chatelaine patterns to name just a few. And with fun themes to match Halloween, Christmas, springtime and more, how can you go wrong? You’ll make a dozen of these quick gifts before you know it.
